I can help you to identify physical clues in the fabric of the building, carry out thorough documentary research, and produce a printed and illustrated report. 

Peter Foden is a graduate of Cambridge and Liverpool Universities and has twenty years experience and expertise managing, using and interpreting archives.  He has a research interest in the subdivision of early modern peasant houses, documented in wills and family settlements.  He developed this interest further in his University of Nottingham Combined Studies module, The History of the Family 1200-1900.

Interests in landscape history include ancient highways, the lost heathlands of the Nottinghamshire Wolds, and the meadow pastures of the East Midlands.

Projects undertaken in Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire; consultancy and training service for research in other parts of England.
